Lynn's first layout - Layers and Texture Challenge

Good morning everyone, today I am up on the blog sharing my first creation for the March Challenge - Layers and Textures.    I am often a texture, flowers, layers scrapbooker and that creates a thick page that doesnt fit into my albums.  So this time I have created a page that has as much detail but doesnt have the thickness (if that makes sense!)

I began with black gesso and a crafters workshop stencil on 7 Dots Paper from the Paint Chips Collection

Once the gesso was dry I have put the stencil back on and using Finnabairs Mica powder & a little water I went over the marks again

Whilst that was drying I stamped my images onto paper that I had previous created using the gelli plate, dylusion paints, stamps, stencils  and lots of handmade marks and shapes.  I colour photocopied the original so I get to use it over and over again

I then fussy cut the images out  and have used Dylusion paint pens to draw around the edges, colour in some of the images so as to define the stamp more

to add some more texture to my layout I have used the AALL and Create Stamp #39 by Bipasha with Embossing Powders around the layout.  I have coloured some pieces of a bandage with Dylusion Sprays to place behind my photo and added some word stickers from the 7 Dots Collections - Paint Chips and Fortune Teller.

Here are some close ups:

Outlining the images in paint pen - be careful not to be too neat! This adds dimension.

Stamped images in the background with embossing powder adds another layer and texture

Dyed bandage tucked under here and there also gives a different texture.
