We have a team!!!

6 Wonderfully Creative Aussies
1 Fabulous International Designer
1 Amazing Regular Guest
PLUS
 6 Awesome Special Guests
(these will be revealed over the next few months…)

But, firstly I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you that applied for the design team.   I had a much bigger response than I expected and with so much wonderful creative talent out there it was a very hard decision.
I have tried to choose a team that not only compliments each other and the Scrap Matrix products…  but are also diverse in their styles.

And the day has finally arrived to announce who they are.
So, without further ado… I would like to welcome and introduce the (awesome, fabulous, amazing and wonderfully creative) Inaugural
Scrap Matrix Design Team!

My name is Tammy and I live in the beautiful Clare Valley in South Australia.
I have 3 amazing children (a 13 year old stepson, a 14 year old son, and a 16 year old daughter) who bring me so much joy.
I love to scrap the stories of our lives. It's where I find my peace and joy and my sanity.
I've been scrapping for about 12 years and scrap both Project Life and 12x12 Layouts, and lately I've been having a go at painting too.
I would describe my style as colourful, painty, and layered.  I love mixed media, paint and journaling.  For me scrapping is about both the arty play and the stories.  It's my therapy.
I'm thrilled to be here and can't wait to share more.

Hi, I’m Lynn and I live in the on the North West coast in the beautiful state of Tasmania with my very supportive hubby.  My two boys (22 & 21) both now live on the mainland but continue to be a source of my creative world.
I have been scrapping since about 2005 where I was introduced to Creative Memories. I do mainly 12x12 layouts as well as art journaling, mini albums, canvases, tags and ATC’s.  I don’t think I have a “style” but love paint, texture, bling, chipboard. As I work full time I find scrapping is therapeutic and relaxing – I should probably say “addictive”!!!!!

I am super excited to be a part of the inaugural Scrap Matrix team and hope along the way I can inspire you in what we create.

Hi I am Elisa, I live on the mid north coast of NSW with my Hubby and two boys and i have been art and crafting for many years. I majored in Art in college and I have a great range in my style from Mixed Media Art to Scrapbooking to Watercolour painting, Home decor items, Canvases, Natural Wall Hangings, out of the box items, mixed media pieces to Art Journalling and a combination of the lot at times. If I had to describe my style I would say eclectic, different and colourful and a little cheeky sometimes. I love to use loads of different mediums on my projects and my hubby thinks I have an unhealthy addiction to stamps, stencils, inks and paints. I also have a penchant for using up-cycled or re-purposing items for my projects, from natural items to hand dying fabric, wire, feathers, toilet paper and other unusual items. I am so excited to design for Scrap Matrix and I can't wait to get started!

"Hi I'm Monique and I am from Mackay on the Tropical Queensland Coast.
My partner and I downsized last year to move into an apartment at the Mackay Marina.  It is the best thing we have ever done - we wake up to glorious sun rises over the ocean and I can fulfil my love of walking along the beach any time I want.  An added bonus is apartment living allows me more time to indulge in my passions of scrapbooking and mixed media art!
Besides my wonderful, patient and supportive partner I am blessed to have a 12 year old son who brings me much joy, but with whom at times I feel the usual frustrations that a pre teen boy can bring!  Our 3 year old Ragamuffin cat Harry completes our little family.

During the week I work as a Year 3 teacher at a small school just outside of Mackay.  Teaching is another passion of mine, and this year I have been teaching in one way or another for over 25 years.

I took up scrapbooking just after my son was born and it very quickly became an obsession.  I started dabbling with mixed media in my scrapbooking about 4 years ago when I was looking for a way to change my style a bit.  Now mixed media has pretty much taken over my life.  I create in a variety of ways - art journaling, canvases, tags .....but scrapbooking still remains my first and foremost love.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Scrap Matrix Design Team and I am looking forward to sharing many projects with you using the gorgeous products available in the store."

I’m Lydia Gibson, a 16-year-old creative teenager who has a huge passion in documenting her every day. I live with my mum, dad and younger sister in a small country town in south-east Queensland, Australia. I was first introduced to the scrapbooking industry at a young age from my scrapbooking mum, starting with stamping and that’s how I got to what I love to do today. I currently love to document my everyday through my love of photography with Project Life, Traditional 12x12 layouts, Mixed Media and lots more.

Hi I’m Rebecca and creating is my passion, I love to make things, all kinds of things. Positive feedback from the crafting community only inspires and pushes me further to extend my imagination. I am always willing to think right outside the box. I like to create items that are a little different, slightly quirky. My style I would like to attempt to explain as grunge meets steampunk and very detailed. I really enjoy mixed media, making cards, layouts, OTP, small canvas crafts and upcycling old items and turning them back into something beautiful. I guess you can say I game to take on most aspects of crafting, however I do tend to stay right away from anything too pink and pretty, it is just not me (not to say I could not do it mind you, it just may take a little more concentration from my brain). I am a stay at home Mum, I volunteer in my local op shop and spend the rest of my spare time creating and looking after my family.

Hello there, my name is Anguree, and I am super excited to here.

I am married to a wonderful guy and as you may know, I also live in beautiful Darwin.

Fun fact: I love to travel but sometimes my all responsible self gets left at home and the crazy 6 year old within me comes along... On one holiday I have bungee jumped with both a pushbike and a scooter. Why, you ask me? Uhmm I wanted the photo... ðŸ˜‰ðŸ˜œ
I was introduced into Scrapbooking somewhere in 2005 and have been addicted ever since.  I generally scrap 12x12 pages, but also making cards, tags art journaling and off the page projects. My style vary from grungy to shabby but I dare say no style is off limits. Experimenting with new techniques and products keeps me engaged and inspired. It makes it fun and allows me to jump between different styles depending on the products I choose to use.
I am incredibly honoured and blessed to be chosen as Cardmaker of the year for Simply Cards Magazine and am serving on a number of different design teams. I really treasure the friendships I have been able to build with those who I meet and work with and am blessed to call many of them my friends.
I scrap and craft because it makes me happy. I love to share this love and share the joy it gives me with others in the hope that it will encourage them to play along and find the same kind of happiness. To me it's all about sharing the little things that makes life a happier place.

and finally there is me -

predominately behind the scenes, in the studio and in the shop but when (if!) I get time I will definitely be getting creative and sharing with you all.
I started scrapping about 14 years ago, when I was dragged kicking and screaming towards this beautiful 'hobby', convinced it wasn't for me.... how wrong I was.  All these years later, here I am, owning my own gorgeous business, and being surrounded by what I love the most - every day.
I am a double page scrapper, using an array of photos and journaling to help document events, family history and moments -  and not just the special ones.  It's all about 'real life' for me.  Over the last few years I have had a lot to learn about all the products that Scrap Matrix sells, so art journaling started as a way of experimenting and investigating for me... it has now turned into 'another' addiction, and I can't stop playing with paint, texture and new techniques.
I am so excited by this new stage for Scrap Matrix, and am impatient to start sharing some of the creative projects this lovely team comes up with.  Bring it on!
