Mini Madness for Scrap Matrix. .... Lynn

Hi everyone, Lynn here with my take on this months challenge - and I had a big mental stumbling block on this one that I will explain later on!!

I have done some little cards and tags

I had no idea what to create (My mojo was on holiday I think!). So i thought lets just put some colour down and see what happens.

I thought back to my class with Tracy Scott and did just that with my finger and Paper Artsy Paints

This is the point where it is "ugly" and you need to work through it.  So I start to apply stamps from Tracy Scotts ETS33 and ETS35 sets

No method at all just anywhere.  I then used Paper Artsy Paint - Little Black Dress and blocked out the areas around the stamps.

Starting to like the page a little more at this point - but White Pen is needed:

Loved this but still lacking the lift I was looking for so back to the white pen again - excuse the photos, those that know me know I am only able create at night and not the best photos.

And then I got to the point of - I cant cut this up I love it too much, but it is so busy what am I going to do with it?

So here was my mental stumbling block.  I spent a couple of day just looking at it before take the plunge and putting it in the guillotine!!!

I cut it into small squares for gift tags and rectangles for cards.  I have backed them with cardstock and added some Tim Holtz Small talk stickers to them.

I had some pieces left over so thought I would put them in my art journal page to complete later.
I painted the page with fluorescent orange paint and added the squares and a couple of flip covers to put photos and journalling.

Metal Madness
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some more metal madness with you.
I have created these tags for this month's challenge.

A little bit vintage, a little bit grungy :)

I have started with a card base for my tags.
Cut to size some
 '7 Dots Studio Lost & Found - Vignette 12 x 12 & Typewriter 12 x 12'

Some 'Finnabair Light Paste' stencilled through my
(I love this stencil!!)

Next I have used my
moving the colour around.

I have stained some gauze with coffee and used it on my tags.
Mix up some bits and pieces cut from the 'Fortune Teller 6 x 6 Paper Pad',
along with 'Stickers' and 'Die Cut Elements' from the 'Fortune Teller' collection.

Layering as I go, I add some 'Sticker Elements', and 'Die Cuts' from the Lost & Found collection,
along with pieces from the 'Sticky Notes' 12 x 12 Paper

I have also used some elements from the 'Destination Unknown' collection,
also by 7 Dots Studio.

For my metals, on one tag I have added two of the 'Leaf #1 Antique Copper White',

layered with a 'Brass Square Large #5'

I have then added a 'Clock Curio', from the 'Glass Flair - Hello Set', to the centre.

 For my second tag,
I have used the same products,
but layering them a bit differently.

For this one I have used a metal 'Peacock' charm,

Layered with two of the 'Brass Round Medium #1'

I have also added the tree curio from the 'Glass Flair - Hello set',
to the centre of the flower.

I hope that you like what I have created this time around.
I had a lot of fun making these fun tags.

I hope that you will get chance to play along with our challenge,
and I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas.

Until next time!

Lisa

Holiday Moodboard Layout - Lydia

Lydia back to share my project this month to go along side this months moodboard challenge.

This month I decided to go down my path and create a scrapbook layout again. I found this challenge easy and I love how the layout turned out.
With this months project I seemed to have focused on the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio collection "Escape The Ordinary" which is perfect for those beach holiday images.

I love this collection because it gives an arty feel while still being the traditional scrapbooking paper and embellishments. As the main feature of the layout I used some of the patterned papers from the collection and simply cut out some tags. I embellished using the collections puffy stickers and normal cardstock phase stickers.

For my main title I used a Blue Fern Studio wood veneer 'On the Road'. I didn't embellish or decorate this wood veneer as I quite liked the raw look of it, but it could easily be painted or inked etc.

Again I used some of the pattered paper from collection to give the layout a type of border and I also added some small embellishments including again some puffy stickers and cardstock phase stickers.

I did add some white thread to all the tags to give the whole layout some texture and white on white feel.

I really love how this layout turned out and it was fun to play with some paper again.
Be sure to head over to the Scrap Matrix Shares Facebook group to be able to enter this months challenge and I can't wait to see the entries.

Hope you have a great time creating.

Paper Artsy Tags - Lydia

Lydia, back again today to share my second project for the month featuring Paper Artsy. Today I am sharing a set of three tages using a range of projects from the Scrap Matrix store and featuring E³ Emma Godfrey 03 stamp set from Paper Artsy.

First thing I did was grab some tags from my stash, using a small palette knife added some Dylusions Paint in the colours Bubblegum Pink and Rose Quartz. I also love how fast these Dylsuions Paints dry too.

I wanted to build some light layers on these tags so I used the Tim Holtz - Lace Stencil and sprayed some of my favourite Dylusions Inks in the colours Rose Quartz and Laidback Lilac. Although the inks did run a bit when I sprayed them, I like the effect that gave.

I then used the E³ Emma Godfrey 03 stamp set from Paper Artsy and stamped onto some plain white card and fussy cut them out. And to adhere them to the tags I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive.

Last but not least I added a few textural items including Finnabair by Prima Art Glass Beads in the colour Zinc and some Finnabair by Prima Art Ingredients Mica Flakes in the colour Mulberry.

And now for some close up photos.

I hope you all liked these tags. Also be sure to head over to the Scrap Matrix Shares Facebook Group to be able to enter this months Paper Artsy challenge, you have 5 days!!! I will be back next month with more projects.
