Mini Madness frame

Hi Guys,
Today i have a framed picture using a 5x5 canvas.

I flipped the canvas over to create a shadow box.
Then I sprayed Dina Wakely Gloss Spray into the back of the frame, I let it pool and run how ever it wanted. I then dried fully.

Next on heavy white cardstock I stamped in black ink  Paper Artsy stamp ETS32
I then fussy cut the images out.
I cut strips of black cardstock and stuck them down on top of the canvas edge to make a frame. Onto of the black frame i added the stamped images and stuck my photo in the frame.

This was a quick and easy project to frame a image. I dare you to try!
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time

Jen's Mini Madness...

Hi everyone! I hope it's a lovely sunny day where you are today.

(I'm having some technical issues with my laptop today so I hope this turns out ok.)

This month is Mini Madness and what a great challenge this will be.  I can't wait to see what everyone's interpretation will be.

(Thanks to all the great artists on Pinterest for sharing their creations.)

Some time ago I saw an article in a magazine where they had altered some dominoes.  Further research on Pinterest revealed the many different options I could take.  Inspired, I decided to purchase some dominoes and get started.

I had a setback though... because of Covid-19 and everyone self-isolating, many games had been purchased from local stores and the shelves were bare.  I ended up having to order them online and wait, (forever it seemed), for them to arrive.  I then unleashed my mini madness and this is what I created.

I had so much fun I had created six, (I didn't think two of them were good enough to share), before I realised I should have been taking photos.  What a great excuse to make some more!

I've  used Paperartsy Fresco Acrylic Paints  .  Some I applied with my fingers but this one I applied with a brush using three shades of green.

Next I applied Tracy's stamp from set ETS23 with Archival Ink.

I added decorations with a white Posca pen and  some Tim Holtz stickers and covered it with Ranger Glossy Accents and left it to dry.  I tried to be careful and make sure no bubbles but...

... some managed to sneak in.

Make sure your words are stuck down properly, mine slipped as the Glossy Accents dried.

All the stamps I've used are from the Paperartsy range along with Tim Holtz  Collage paper and words from an old book.

I hope you like them.
I'm eager to see what you will create.  Please add them to the Facebook shares page and list which Scrap Matrix products you've used.
That's it for me now,  I'm going to enjoy the sunshine.

Jen.

Mini Madness for Scrap Matrix. .... Lynn

Hi everyone, Lynn here with my take on this months challenge - and I had a big mental stumbling block on this one that I will explain later on!!

I have done some little cards and tags

I had no idea what to create (My mojo was on holiday I think!). So i thought lets just put some colour down and see what happens.

I thought back to my class with Tracy Scott and did just that with my finger and Paper Artsy Paints

This is the point where it is "ugly" and you need to work through it.  So I start to apply stamps from Tracy Scotts ETS33 and ETS35 sets

No method at all just anywhere.  I then used Paper Artsy Paint - Little Black Dress and blocked out the areas around the stamps.

Starting to like the page a little more at this point - but White Pen is needed:

Loved this but still lacking the lift I was looking for so back to the white pen again - excuse the photos, those that know me know I am only able create at night and not the best photos.

And then I got to the point of - I cant cut this up I love it too much, but it is so busy what am I going to do with it?

So here was my mental stumbling block.  I spent a couple of day just looking at it before take the plunge and putting it in the guillotine!!!

I cut it into small squares for gift tags and rectangles for cards.  I have backed them with cardstock and added some Tim Holtz Small talk stickers to them.

I had some pieces left over so thought I would put them in my art journal page to complete later.
I painted the page with fluorescent orange paint and added the squares and a couple of flip covers to put photos and journalling.

I hope that I have inspired you to have a go this month - here is the moodboard for inspiration

Once you have created your project - just upload to the Scrap Matrix Shares page on Facebook.

'Mini Gift Tags'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello Matrix friends!
It's Lisa here today to share some
Mini Madness with you!

I have created a couple of mini gift tags.

I have started with a card base, these are only 2.5 x 3.5 inches big.

I have used some of my Dina Wakley Media Acrylics for the base in 'Sand'
I have then added some streaks of the 'Night',
along with some Dylusions paint in 'Cherry Pie'

I have then used some 'Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers',
stencilled through my 'Prima Checker 12 x 12 Stencil'

Next I have used the 'AAll & Create Stamp #3'
and my 'Archival Ink Pad', to stamp the circles onto my tags.
Then I have used my
'Art Philosophy Oil Pastels- Rustic' to doodle some lines and shapes.

I have then added some torn strips of collage papers, from the
'Art by Marlene Collage Papers #3'

I have then added some pieces of 'White Lace Trim',
that I have stapled onto my tags.

Some more close ups :)

To finish I have added some sentiments using the
'Tim Holtz Label Letters'

And lastly some 'Molossi Crystal Gems'
for a little bit of bling

I don't usually create on this small scale,
but I enjoyed the challenge,
and I am really happy with how they turned out.

I hope that they inspire you to create something mini,
 for this month's challenge.

Until next time!

Mini Madness with Tam

Hi creatives

Tam here today to share my take on the 'Mini 'Madness.'
I love this challenge.....some  of you may have seen my 'minis' I created last year in an Art by Marlene Aquatober challenge.
A way to try out ideas and play before heading to your larger scale journals.
If you'd like to see this I did a Facebook LIVE on the Scrap Matrix Shares page.

I was so excited when Vicki sent me a tiny album to play with, and the fact that she made it was even better - what an awesome way to use up some of those papers we have in our stash.

If you'd like your own  little book, contact Vicki as she may do a class on creating these.
(She tells me they are easy)!!

Anyway I've rambled enough, let's take a look at my mini creations.
(I haven't done step by steps today.....there's just too many), so I'll include pics and let you know products used and I'm hoping this month to jump on and create a page live as an alternative.

All of these above creations used Dylusions Paints and Dina Wakley paints.
I used the following colours:

I also added some word stickers and a Jane Davenport Stamp set.

These ones were also created using the above Dylusions Paints and Dina Wakley paints but this time I used stamps by Art by Marlene.

I love how these mix and match...... just perfect for this size and so much attention to detail.

Well hopefully soon, I'll find time to pop in and create a  'live mini' over on our Scrap Matrix Shares page.

Until then get inspired by our current challenge.....

Upload your entry to our Shares page.
Just too easy!!

See you soon
