Hi everyone, Lynn back here to share my second art journal page that I have created for this months challenge/moodboard.
In case you havent seen it yet - this is the moodboard:
Isn't it gorgeous, and aren't the artists amazing!! They certainly get the ideas flowing.

I have created this page:
If you had seen my previous art journal blog you will remember that I created a "mop up" page with the excess paint - well i have turned that page into the houses.
Here is a pic from the previous post - i have used the piece on the right
I have used a circle stencil from Darkroom Door (any circle stencil will work) and with a fine black pen have drawn in some circles.
I have then doodled in and around the circles with a white and black Posca pen.
I have then drawn some house shapes and cut them out
Using Dylusion Paint pens I have drawn in windows and doors etc.
In my Dylusion Art Journal book I have created the background page. I have used Distress Oxide - Salty Ocean, Stormy Sky, Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover.
I placed the ink pad directly onto the page and stayed with water enable them to move when wiped with a brush
I have spritz the page with water diluting the colour where the drops land.
I have arranged the houses in an order that I liked and adhered them with Matte Medium.
I needed to ground the houses so drew in some paths and a road with a Stabilio black pencil which activates with water.
I have used a cloud stencil and Dina Wakley Gloss Spray - White to add some clouds to the top of the page. I have then gone around the edges of the clouds with blue coloured pencil.
I thought the paths needed some grass so I have used some green gelatos to create the effect of grass around the path and houses.
Finally I decided that people were needed to added some girls that I cut from a very old Prima Stamp "Bloom" and coloured with flourescent coloured pencils.
The saying was a word sticker in the Fiona Paltridge Strength in Numbers Collection - I cut out the word "together" and replaced it with one that had a bigger font as I wanted to highlight that word.
I hope that you have been inspired to have a go - I cant wait to see all the houses that everyone creates.
Until next time
Happy Crafting :)
