Spritz and Spray with Jen

 Hi Everyone!

Are you enjoying the challenge this month so far?   I see there are a few entries already posted on the Facebook share page and they are fantastic!  I hope to inspire a few more entries today.

I've created a small canvas to share with you today. I've used Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays that have a shimmer.

I didn't really have a plan when I first started. I knew what I would like to use but I was unsure if I would use them.

I glued strips of 7 Dots Studio papers (Cotton Candy and Write's Block) across my canvas and covered them with gesso.

I did hope that some of the detail on the papers would show through.

I glued on the metal elements that I wanted to form the base of my design first and coated them with gesso. Then the rest of my metal elements, shapes, jewels, stones and beads. Next, a final coat of gesso.

Once dry I sprayed my lightest colour in the middle and worked my way towards the edges using darker shades.  It required a couple of coats to get the result I wanted.  I had hoped that the colours would drip along the strips, but they didn't.  At least not the way I wanted.

To highlight some of my elements I added some wax from my stash just to make a few details stand out.

I finished with a Tim Holtz sticker.

I hope you like it.

Jen.

'Vintage Metals'
Art Journal Page
with Lisa Amiet

Hello Scrap Matrix lovers!

It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration for this month's challenge

I was inspired by the metallics in the mood board.
So, I have used a few bits of metal on my art journal page.
This is what I came up with

I have started by giving my page a coat of 'Liquitex Gesso',
but I will admit I didn't do the best job coating it ;)
which show later when I add some colour.

Next I have used my 'Finnabair Light Paste' & my
'Paper Artsy PS109 Stencil' by Tracy Scott, to stencil onto my page.

I have also used the '7 Dots Studio Air Mail Postage Notes Stencil'.
to stencil the words.

Next I have added some colour with my favourite Lindy's colour,
'Clam Bake Beige'. I love the tones you can achieve with this colour,
and a little bit of shimmer doesn't hurt right?
Add a little bit of water to get it moving.

Unfortunately this is where you can see I missed parts with my gesso.
Next I have used my 'Distress Ink - in Vintage Photo',
and blending tool to colour the edges of
my pages and rub over the stencilled areas.

Next I have used some 'Dylusions in Black Marble'
again adding water to help the flow.

Now I am ready to start adding some elements to my page.
I have adhered a doily cut from old paper, and
an ephemera piece from 'Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ephemera Pack Expedition'
I have also stapled a piece of 'Jute Trim'

I have then started to add more of the ephemera pack to build up my layers.
Some pieces I have stapled to others before adhering to the page.

I have distressed the ephemera pieces and added more layers.

I have also used some of the '7 Dots Studio Airmail Word Stickers'.

I have then added some of my metal charms, first the 'Brass Plate Small #1'.
I have also used some medical tape torn and adhered.

I have also used some of the 'Finnabair Mechanical Metal Embellishments'.

I have also used one of the 'Tim Holtz Small Talk' word stickers.

I have scattered the stars over my page.

I have used foam tape for some of the pieces, for that extra dimension and pop.

I hope that you like what I have created and,
that it may inspire you to enter our challenge for a chance to win some goodies!

Until next time!

'Believe'
Art Journal Page
Tracy Scott

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration for this month's challenge!

This month is

I was so excited about this month's challenge as I am in love with Tracy Scott,
 and her fabulous products.
This is what I have created

I have started with a page in my 'Dylusions Creative Journal - Large',
and I have used the 'Grungy Grid Stencil from Finnabair',
and I have applied some 'Distress Oxide in Broken China' with a 'Blending Tool'

I have then blended using my '7 Dots Studio Droplets Stencil',
and 'Distress Ink in Mustard Seed' .
The next layer was using the '7 Dots Studio Cargo Letters Stencil',
and 'Distress Ink in Black Soot'.

I have then again used the 'Grungy Grid Stencil' with 'Modelling Paste', randomly over my page.
I like to double up with the same stencil,
as it gives more depth and texture without losing the pattern.

Next I have used some sprays on my page.
I have used some Lindy's in 'Clam Bake Beige', 'Sassy Sapphire'

Up next is some stamping, using my 'AAll & Create #3'
and '7Dots Studio Northern Lights Clear Stamps',
and Distress Inks in 'Weathered Wood' and 'Wilted Voilet'

Next I have used my feature stamp from the
'Paper Artsy Eclectica ET502 Stamps' by Tracy Scott.
I have used my 'Ranger Archival Ink' to stamp them out,
as I will be adding more liquid to my page.

I have then started to add some colour to my stamped images,
painting them, using a variety of mediums.
I have used a 'Dylusions spray in Lemon Zest'

I have also used some Lindy's Sprays in 'Shabby Turbine Teal'

I have also used some Distress Inks,
that I have watered down on my messy mat,
in 'Picked Raspberry', 'Spiced Marmalade',
and 'Wilted Violet'.

I am in love with these bubbles!
I really wanted to have lots of bright fresh colours in them.

I have added some more of the 'Sassy Sapphire'

Oh bubble heaven!

I am really happy with how this page turned out.
I love the effect of the liquid mediums with these bubbles.

I hope you like what I have created.

Until next time!

'A Head Full of Fears'
by Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration with you.

For this month's challenge,
we have a gorgeous mood board for you to play with

I have created an Art Journal Page in my

I have first started with a coat of 'Liquitex White Gesso'
to seal my page for what's to come.

I have then adhered some ripped strips of

I have then used the 'Finnabair Grungy Grid' stencil and 'Finnabair Light Paste',
to stencil randomly over my page, for some texture.

I have then adhered some gauze and started to add some colour with
Seriously, this is my most used colour of spray ever!
I love the earthy tones it adds.

I have then started to add some more colours with my
'Spiced Marmalade', and then 'Picked Raspberry'.

I have added some water and dried it with a heat gun,
while still moving the liquid around on my page.

I have then brought out some stamps,
These are great for added depth and texture to your page.

With them, I have used my 'Distress Ink Pads',
in 'Black Soot', 'Spiced Marmalade'
& 'Picked Raspberry'

I have then added some of my
and adhered to my page.

To finish my page I have cut out the quote from
and adhered it on my page.

Some splashes of 'Dylusions Ink Spray' in
'Black Marble' is the perfect finishing touch.

I am loving the texture and colours on this page.

I also LOVE this quote.
So very true!

I really hope that you like what I have created,
and that you will get a chance to play along this month.

Until next time!
