Hi everyone, Lynn here today to share with you my art journal page that I have created for this months challenge - Watercolour and Words Share:
I have used the amazing Twinkling H20's by Colourarte.
You can find them in the store with this link
Here is my art journal page:
I started the page using a Visible Image stamp - Face It - once the ink was dry I began to add the colours. The H20's are fantastic - you add water to the jars and the hard colour liquefies.
I did a class once with the awesome Fiona Paltridge and see said over and over again - water is your friend when using water colours. She is so true. I added water to the art journal page, added water to the H20's jars and everytime I added more colour my brush went into the clean water container first.
When adding a new colour I let the colours blend together themselves with the water that is on the page- so place the colours a little apart from each other.
Here are some close ups:
As an extra I also created some water colour cards:
On watercolour paper I used the H20's and created some patterns using brushes and stencils.
For the Thank you card I cut out the hearts using a punch and sewed them onto cardstock
For the celebrate card I have die cut balloons from the water colour paper as well as adding it behind the die cut white cardstock.
For the Hello card I did the same, added the watercolour paper behind the die cut cardstock as well as die cutting the "hello". I also used the water colour paint to stamp the butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you found something that inspired you to create and have fun with watercolours. - and dont forget you have til 15th November to create something with watercolour and at least one item from ScrapMatrix and upload it to our facebook Scrapmatrix Shares page to be in for the running to win a ScrapMatrix voucher
I have used the following items from the Scrap Matrix Store:
Thanks for stopping by and until next time - Happy Crafting :)
