ATC Cards by Tanya Froud

Hi Guys! Tanya Here with another of my creations for the month,

With the drip spritz and spray theme going on this month its got me re-discovering some old favorites that got put on the shelf and forgotten about. Oxide Sprays! I forgot how much fun they are.

For my ATC cards i started with a base of 8x10 inch heavy white card stock.

I spritzed Pickled Raspberry, Fossilized Amber and Pumpkin Oxide Sprays onto my craft mat, one at a time them smooshed the card into it to build color. I dried it ever and then to get more depth in the color, before giving it a really good dry.

I then grabbed a couple of Tracy Scott Mandala stencils and a makeup sponge and sprayed a little puddle and dipped my sponge into the ink and then sponged it through the stencil repeating the color until I was happy with what I saw.

I then cut the cards down to the ATC size, 2.5x3.5 inch and used Dark Room Door "Artist Palette" Stamps to add my final layer to the cards.

Here is another dip in and smoosh page using the Glossy Ink Sprays from a discarded piece from my book mark. I also used the same mandala stencil.

Well That's it from me, until next time!

Using Sprays with Jen

Hi Everyone!

I’m here to show you my take on this month’s challenge.

(Thanks to all of the artists on Pinterest for sharing their work and inspiring us.)

I thought I would show you the difference between some of my favourite brands of sprays.  I’m using Dylusions Ink sprays, Ranger’s Distress Oxide sprays, Lindy’s (Stamp) Gang sprays and my new favourite, Dina Wakely’s Gloss sprays.

I started by cutting some watercolour paper into 10cm x10cm squares.  I’ve used the smooth side of the paper and sprayed two colours from each brand onto them.

I’ve used Dylusions’ Vibrant Turquoise and Rose Quartz.

Distress Oxide’s Mowed Lawn and Wilted Violet. I flicked the Wilted Violet over it.

Lindy’s Bachelor Button Blue and Autumn Maple Crimson (I love the names of their colours). I took a couple of photos to try and capture the shimmer. I'm not sure I succeeded.

And Dina’s Gloss sprays in Olive and Night. I flicked some White over it as well. (Isn't it delicious.)

I then cut out circles using a die and stuck them onto white card. I stamped some images from my Paperartsy stash and coloured a couple using Dylusions’ Rose Quartz, Cut Grass, Fresh Lime and Lemon Zest.

I cut them out and attached them to the cards along with some Tim Hotlz stickers and gold metallic thread.

Dylusions Sprays.

Ranger's Distress Oxide Sprays.

Lind's Stamp Gang Sprays.

Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays.

They looked a little plain so I asked the rest of the Design Team for some suggestions and decided to add some lines on opposing corners.

I really enjoyed playing with the Gloss sprays so I did another one using all the colours I had, (Olive, Night, White and Eggplant), but this time I used the rougher side of the watercolour paper.

I hope this has inspired you in some way.  Don’t forget to show us your creations on the Facebook page.  Add them to the Album and you’ll be in the draw for a chance at a prize.

I’ll be back later in the month to show you another of my creations.   Stay safe and be happy.

Jen.

'A Head Full of Fears'
by Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration with you.

For this month's challenge,
we have a gorgeous mood board for you to play with

I have created an Art Journal Page in my

I have first started with a coat of 'Liquitex White Gesso'
to seal my page for what's to come.

I have then adhered some ripped strips of

I have then used the 'Finnabair Grungy Grid' stencil and 'Finnabair Light Paste',
to stencil randomly over my page, for some texture.

I have then adhered some gauze and started to add some colour with
Seriously, this is my most used colour of spray ever!
I love the earthy tones it adds.

I have then started to add some more colours with my
'Spiced Marmalade', and then 'Picked Raspberry'.

I have added some water and dried it with a heat gun,
while still moving the liquid around on my page.

I have then brought out some stamps,
These are great for added depth and texture to your page.

With them, I have used my 'Distress Ink Pads',
in 'Black Soot', 'Spiced Marmalade'
& 'Picked Raspberry'

I have then added some of my
and adhered to my page.

To finish my page I have cut out the quote from
and adhered it on my page.

Some splashes of 'Dylusions Ink Spray' in
'Black Marble' is the perfect finishing touch.

I am loving the texture and colours on this page.

I also LOVE this quote.
So very true!

I really hope that you like what I have created,
and that you will get a chance to play along this month.

Until next time!

"Illuminate the Dark' Layout by Lisa Amiet

Hello all!

It's Lisa here today to share some crafty goodness with you.

For this project, I have created an 'Art by Marlene' inspired layout,
featuring my daughter and her best friend.

'Illuminate the Dark'

For this layout, I have started with a white cardstock base.
I have given it a coat of 'Dina Wakley Clear Gesso' to seal my page.

I have then used my 'Distress Oxide Spray in Faded Jeans'
mixed with some water to flow around my page.

I have used my heat gun to dry it, as I keep moving the liquid around the area I want it.
This way I get layers of deeper blue and areas of lighter blue.

Then out come some stamps :)

First I have used my 'Art by Marlene -Storms Don't Last Stamp Set',
I have used the flower stamps and my 'Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Faded Jeans',
to randomly stamp around my page.

Next, I have used the 'AAll & Create - Stamp #35'
'7 Dots Studio - Northern Lights Stamp Set'
& my 'Art by Marlene' stamps, using the hearts and crosses,
with my 'Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black'

Now I need some more layers of goodness.
For this, I have used 'Art by Marlene Collage Papers 3 & 4'.

I have found pieces in the colours I wanted and have adhered them to my page.
Some have been scrunched and tucked in and layered with some gauze.

I have added some 'Vintage Lace 2 - Diane Cream' and then my photo.

I have added a 'Leaf Silver Charm', tucked under the corner of my photo.

I have also used my 'AAll & Create Stamp #35' to stamp a sentiment for my page.

I have then added some
'Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Creative Diary Back Chat Stickers'
 to my layout.

I have finished with my title,
stamping my 'Art by Marlene - Storms Don't Last Stamps'
sentiment with black ink.

I had a lot of fun with this layout.
It's fun to try something new.

I hope that you like what I have created.

Until next Time!

Lisa
