Colourful Characters
with Lisa Amiet

Hello Scrap Matrix fans!

This month for our challenge we have something different for you

I have created a couple of tags with what my son calls zombie doll characters,
one boy and one girl :)

To start with I have painted my tags with my 'Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paints' in
'Magenta' and 'Ocean'
I have then used some 'Lemon' to stencil through my 'Grungy Grid stencil'.

I have used the 'Zinksi Art Set 02' to stamp the characters onto white cardstock.
I have then used my 'Art Philosophy Oil Pastels' to roughly colour them in,
I wanted them to look like a child's drawing.

I have added some smears of pastels to the tag bases too!
Add in some more stamping to the tags with the 'Paper Artsy ETS02' stamps.

Lastly, I have used some of the 'Dina Wakley Collage Words' for my quote.

I have used the same methods to decorate the boy tag with boy colours :)

Isn't he ever so cute??

I hope that you like what I have created,
and that they inspire you to create some cute quirky characters of your own!

Until next time!

Lisa

'Illuminate the Dark'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today with my second share for the month,
where we are celebrating our wonderful artist Tammy!

I am always in love with her bright, fun and whimsical pages!
This is what inspired me to create this art journal page.

With this page, I have started with a nice coat of Gesso for my page.
I have then used some Dina Wakley Acrylic in 'Lemon',
to paint a circle in the centre of my page.
I have then coated the rest of the page in 'Eggplant',
not quite joining the two colours, leaving a white rim.

I have then used the '7 Dots Studio Aspen Trees Stencil' and
'Dina Wakley Acrylic in Turquoise', to stencil over the yellow only.
I have then used the 'Finnabair Grungy Grid Stencil' (still my fave lol),
and black paint, randomly over the edges.

I have then adhered the wings, fussy cut from the '13Arts Journey Stickers',
to the centre of my page.
I have drawn in some zig zags around the edges.

I have then stamped my quote, using the 'Art by Marlene
Storms Don't Last Stamp Set' and Archival Ink.
Finally it was time to add the centrepiece, that gorgeous girl!

I have fussy cut her from the 'Art by Marlene Collage Papers #4',
and adhered her in the centre.
I have then added some movement lines for her wings,
and splattered some white ink around the circle.

I am really happy with how it turned out!
Isn't she gorgeous??

I hope you like her too,
and that she may have inspired you to create today!

Until next time

Lisa

'Breathing of your Heart'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here on the blog today to share some inspiration with you,
for our latest challenge.

Ok, so I will start with a confession,
that this is a bit new to me, but I gave it a good try.
I'm not sure how I feel about the finished product lol.

This page is built up of many layers.
I started with a coat of 'Liquitex Gesso' on my page.
I have then applied some 'Black Gesso', with some plastic packaging.

I have roughly applied a mix of 'White Gesso', 'Dina Wakley Acrylic in Turquoise'
and 'Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Turquoise'
I have then used the plastic again to scratch and scrape the still wet paint.

I have then used a couple of my stencils,
The 'Grungy Grid' and 'Hazy Days Chevron' with both the 'Black Gesso'
and 'White Gesso', sometimes a mix of both colours, that I applied with a sponge.

I have added some more colour with a light touch and rubbing of
'Dina Wakley Acrylic in Lemon'

More layers of black applied with plastic. Also the start of some doodling.

Next, some stamping, using my 'AAll & Create #3' stamp and
some 'Distress Ink in Mustard Seed' and 'Ranger Archival Ink in Black'.

Add in some more doodling and some splashes of my left over paints.

To finish I have used some of the 'Dina Wakley Collage Backgrounds' quotes,
and of course some more doodling.

Some more close ups :)

It is growing on me a little.

I hope that this has inspired you to make a mark, and give the challenge a try,
you never know what you'll get in the end!

Until next time!

Lisa

'Believe'
Art Journal Page
Tracy Scott

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration for this month's challenge!

This month is

I was so excited about this month's challenge as I am in love with Tracy Scott,
 and her fabulous products.
This is what I have created

I have started with a page in my 'Dylusions Creative Journal - Large',
and I have used the 'Grungy Grid Stencil from Finnabair',
and I have applied some 'Distress Oxide in Broken China' with a 'Blending Tool'

I have then blended using my '7 Dots Studio Droplets Stencil',
and 'Distress Ink in Mustard Seed' .
The next layer was using the '7 Dots Studio Cargo Letters Stencil',
and 'Distress Ink in Black Soot'.

I have then again used the 'Grungy Grid Stencil' with 'Modelling Paste', randomly over my page.
I like to double up with the same stencil,
as it gives more depth and texture without losing the pattern.

Next I have used some sprays on my page.
I have used some Lindy's in 'Clam Bake Beige', 'Sassy Sapphire'

Up next is some stamping, using my 'AAll & Create #3'
and '7Dots Studio Northern Lights Clear Stamps',
and Distress Inks in 'Weathered Wood' and 'Wilted Voilet'

Next I have used my feature stamp from the
'Paper Artsy Eclectica ET502 Stamps' by Tracy Scott.
I have used my 'Ranger Archival Ink' to stamp them out,
as I will be adding more liquid to my page.

I have then started to add some colour to my stamped images,
painting them, using a variety of mediums.
I have used a 'Dylusions spray in Lemon Zest'

I have also used some Lindy's Sprays in 'Shabby Turbine Teal'

I have also used some Distress Inks,
that I have watered down on my messy mat,
in 'Picked Raspberry', 'Spiced Marmalade',
and 'Wilted Violet'.

I am in love with these bubbles!
I really wanted to have lots of bright fresh colours in them.

I have added some more of the 'Sassy Sapphire'

Oh bubble heaven!

I am really happy with how this page turned out.
I love the effect of the liquid mediums with these bubbles.

I hope you like what I have created.

Until next time!

Lisa
